The Ocean Profiles consists of a journal and a portfolio of work, in which twenty individuals are invited to share their connection to the ocean with you. Through a selection of portraits and contextual images, their hobbies, professions and feelings are explored. This is done by asking one simple question, to which the contributor may share as much or as little as they like. The question is as follows:
“Why would you describe yourself as a thalassophile?”
The Ocean Profiles showcases people with all kinds of professions and hobbies. You'll meet artists, scuba divers, nomads, swimmers, athletes, scientists and many more. All with one thing in common, their shared love for our ocean.
